Bouclème Intensive Moisture Treatment 250ml

Born out of frustration towards the lack of curl-friendly hair care in the industry, Michele Scott-Lynch – Bouclème’s Founder and CEO – set out to design a range that delivers healthy, frizz-free curls using all-natural ingredients. Swearing off the sulphate and silicone-based formulas that do nothing for curls’ definition or health, Bouclème is home to intensely replenishing products that penetrate hair to condition your coils, ringlets or kinks. With specific formulas to care for your curls (be them loose, medium or tight!), trust their simple 3-step system of cleansing, conditioning and defining to give your curls the love they deserve. What’s more, this fully recyclable range is cruelty-free and uses fully biodegradable ingredients that are fair trade wherever possible.

The crowning glory of the collection, Bouclème’s Intensive Moisture Treatment is formulated to bolster the integrity of dry and damaged curls and shield it against daily environmental stressors.

Earning the title of “Best Product for Afro Hair” in the Marie Claire Beauty Awards of 2019, this conditioning formula deeply penetrates your hair to act as the ultimate foil to breakage and troublesome tangles. The rich cream helps to strengthen your hair, emphasise the definition of your natural texture, rebalance moisture levels and boost the flexibility and manageability of your hair. Think: hair that looks and feels more healthy! What makes it so special? The replenishing concoction is fuelled with a medley of impressive ingredients: from softening prickly pear seed oil, marula oil and mafura butter to camellia oil and wheat bran with amino and fatty acids. We’re obsessed!

This versatile treatment can be used in 3 different ways to adapt to all types of curls – as a pre-shampoo (for fine loose curls), as a deep conditioning mask or as a leave-in conditioner.

1. Pre-shampoo: Apply from roots to ends on wet hair before cleansing. Leave in for -30 minutes or overnight. Rinse thoroughly then wash and style hair as usual.
2. Deep conditioning mask: After cleansing, apply from roots to ends on soaking wet hair. Detangle with fingers, a wide tooth comb or tangle slayer, leave in for 20-30 minutes. Add heat for an extra deep treat – wrap head with our Curl Towel and let your body create the heat. This helps lift the cuticle allowing all the nutrients to penetrate deep into the hair shaft. Rinse and style as usual.
3. Leave-in (for very dry/damaged curls): After cleansing, apply from roots to ends on soaking wet hair section by section. Follow with the Curl Cream and Curl Defining Gel and style as usual.

Transparency lies at the heart of our philosophy which is why we have partnered with tech-platform – Provenance – to cut through the industry ‘noise’ and equip you with key facts that matter. A ‘proof point’ with a green tick means a third party has verified the accuracy of the statement whereas no green tick means that there isn’t independent confirmation (yet!), but that the brand has still supplied substantiating evidence (which you can view yourself).
