ghd The Sectioner Tail Hair Comb

Loved by celebs, influencers and Cult Beauties alike, ghd has been making waves (poker-straight locks and curly ‘do’s) in the beauty realm since the beginning of the century by bringing salon-quality styling tools into the hands and homes of professionals and hair mavens everywhere. And if attention to detail is your thing, look no further than The Sectioner. This fine-toothed comb is a master in precision styling: think backcombing, sectioning blow-dries, or tucking in rogue flyaways. (There’s not much it can’t do).

There’s an art to intricate hairstyling, but having the right tools is crucial to the creative process. Cue The Sectioner: a comb that does a lot more for your locks than meets the eye.

At Cult Beauty, we love a backcombed look but it often comes with a damage risk – not with this piece of kit. Featuring anti-static properties, ghd’s fine-toothed design gently works through your hair with accuracy and has a narrow tapered handle for precise sectioning. Messed up a sleek ponytail? No problem. The Sectioner is also great for tucking away strands that need taming. Use it solo or alongside heated styling tools – it can handle it.

For damage-free backcombing (that’s also easy to brush out), use ghd’s three-stroke method. Take a small section of hair and hold it away from your head. Place the comb in the section a few centimetres away from the root and comb in two short strokes against the direction of growth, stopping short at the roots. For the third stroke, brush back right to the roots.

Top tip: To section your hair with precision when styling, use the tail end of the comb, not the teeth.
