Maison Margiela Replica Candle Trio Set 165g (Worth £156.00)

Famed for his cutting-edge collections, Belgian designer Martin Margiela launched his eponymous house in the late ’80s, garnering fans with his avant-garde shapes and irreverent twist on tradition (his cloven-toed boots are iconic). With his first fragrance – Untitled – launching in 2010, the Maison has since spawned a swathe of unexpected scents which recollect specific points in time, with three of the best captured within this gift-ready candle set. Making moments and memories, each (165g) votive will transport you straight to cosy nights By The Fireplace, a Lazy Sunday Morning, or to that wild night you spent at the Jazz Club, remember?

Get ready to transform the atmosphere of any room with Maison Margiela’s indulgent candle set, bringing you moments of cosy contemplation as you recall memories evoked by each scent.

The By The Fireplace candle is as welcoming as the smouldering scent of a log-lit fire, crackling peacefully away on a chilly winter’s eve. It boasts earthy, heady notes of chestnut accord, gaïac wood oil and clove oil, balanced with a sweet base of berries and cashmeran (like toasted marshmallows in front of a dancing flame). Lazy Sunday Morning is equally as nostalgic, conjuring a snapshot of time as a bottled memory of ‘soft skin and bed linen’ with delicate notes of lily of the valley mixed with iris accord and ambrette seeds. Finally, Jazz Club evokes the image of wild nights gone by with smooth tones and the promise of dancing. Breathe in sharp yet sweet notes of pink pepper, neroli oil and lemon, deepened by fresh and earthy middle notes mixed with a vanilla and tobacco leaf base. Sit back, relax, and dare to dream…

The first time you light a scented candle, let it burn for at least one hour until all the wax on the surface has melted. It will help the candle melt uniformly during all the duration of use. Leave the scented candle wax to burn for three or four hours at a time. Smother the flame using a candle snuffer and avoid blowing out the flame. Trim the wick between each usage to obtain a length of three to five millimetres. Reposition the candle wick after blowing out the candle. Never place a lit candle in a draught or on a glass, wooden or marble surface.
