Working in collaboration with 40 make up artists from across the globe, MAKE UP FOR EVER formulates cosmetics that are inventive, powerful and easy to use. Founded in 1984 by renowned make up artist Dany Sanz, the brand dreams up pro-level products that can be used by both experts on runways *and* those experimenting at home. Let us introduce you to the Aqua Resist Smoky Shadow (1.4g), a multitasking stick that delivers intense pigment and waterproof wear, whether as an all over colour, liner or kohl pencil.

Looking for an eye staple that acts as a 3-in1? Cue MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Aqua Resist Smoky Shadow (1.4g).

Boasting the functionality of an eyeshadow, liner and even a kohl pencil in one, this multitasker grants your lids and lash lines with intense colour. Featuring a silky, weightless texture, it glides effortlessly across the eyes… but be sure to work quickly as the formula only lends you a few seconds of playtime before setting securely in place. And by securely we mean it’s water-, sweat- and transfer-proof. Plus, it features a built-in sharpener (twist the base off and sharpen to your heart’s content). Consider us impressed.

As a shadow: Apply on the eyelid, quickly smudging it out using a flat brush, like the brands Artisan Brush #226 (sold separately). Blend the colour up and out, fading it into the crease. With limited playtime, it blends and smudges for a few seconds, and then stays in place until you take it off.

As a kohl: Sweep along the lash line, from the inner to outer corners. To intensify, apply on the bottom, starting from the centre of the lash line to the outer corner, then use your brush to blend it up and out.

As a liner: Begin at the centre of the lid and extend to the outer corner, then repeat from the inner corner, meeting at the centre.
