If you’ve been dreaming of adding Then I Met You to your skin care rituals, chances are this is the formula that captured your attention. Earning glowing write-ups from the beauty buffs at Allure, Glamour and Refinery29, not to mention copious awards – you’re looking at Caroline Hirons’ Choice for 2020 Product of the Year – the Living Cleansing Balm melts away sunscreen, make up and excess sebum to reveal a perfectly refreshed, calm complexion. The supremely sensorial formula has hints of rosemary, persimmon and grapefruit to delight your senses as vitamin E and plant oils feed your face with antioxidants and fatty acids and free it from impurities. It was all so dull, then we met the Living Cleansing Balm…

A staple in the rituals – it transcends the passive act of routine – of beauty editors and skintellectuals alike, Then I Met You’s Living Cleansing Balm effortlessly melts away make up, sunscreen and excess sebum while feeding your skin with antioxidants and fatty acids.

The ultimate first cleanse, this sorbet-soft balm is designed to be massaged into skin – pause to appreciate the sensorial notes of rosemary, persimmon and grapefruit – to easily melt away oil-based impurities. It’s crafted from a luxurious blend of lightweight plant oils including sea buckthorn oil (adored for its abundance of fatty acids such as stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, and omega 6); olive oil (a nourishing antioxidant that boasts anti-inflammatory properties and supports your skin barrier); finally, grapeseed oil (an antioxidant-rich emollient that nourishes as it gently lifts impurities – cue round of applause). It doesn’t end with that holy trinity of oils though – it’s also laced with persimmon extract to protect your skin from free radicals and promote a brighter tone, plus vitamin E to promote a healthy, youthful finish. We’re so glad we met this formula…

Olea Europaea Fruit Oil (Olive), Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil (Grape), Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Peg-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Peg-8 Isostearate, Cera Microcristallina, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Oil, Ceresin, Synthetic Wax, Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil, Diospyros Kaki Fruit Extract (Persimmon), Aniba Rosaeodora Wood Oil (Rosewood), Citrus Paradisi Peel Oil (Grapefruit), Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil (Rosemary), Tocopheryl Acetate, 1,2-hexanediol, Bis-diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Ethylene/Propylene Copolymer, BHT, Limonene

As there are differences between US and European labelling requirements, you may notice a slight variation amongst ingredient listings on differing sites. Limonene, for example is a compound found in Grapefruit Oil, and the UK requests it to be listed out separately. Then I Met You can assure you that all products boast the same formulation, with the same sorbet soft texture that everyone loves!

For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.

For the first step of your double cleanse, use the spatula to scoop a dime-sized amount onto dry skin and gently massage in circular motions. Add a splash of warm water to emulsify and remove oil-based impurities. Rinse thoroughly before moving to step two, a water-based cleanse with the Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel.
