Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel 100ml

Founded by esthetician and beauty entrepreneur, Charlotte Cho, Then I Met You abides by an attitude of thoughtfulness that transcends self-care. It’s inspired by the Korean concept of ‘jeong’ – a deep feeling of empathy and affection that one can develop for people, places and things – to go deeper, to focus a little extra effort in the right places, and spark real change to your skin. An invaluable sidekick to the industry-adored {Living Cleansing Balm}, the Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel is the ultimate second cleanse; designed to make quick work of oil-based impurities, this gentle cleanser clarifies your pores and counters breakouts all while flooding your skin with hydrating glycerin and sodium hyaluronate—no one likes their skin to feel stripped.

Following in the footsteps of the iconic Living Cleansing Balm is no small feat but the Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel makes it look easy. A purifying second cleanse, this gentle gel effectively lifts water-based impurities (think: sweat and pollution) to promote clear, glowing skin.

Crafted to have a pH of 6, this soothing formula balances clarifying ingredients with a cocktail of hydrating and nourishing extracts so that your skin feels refreshed but never stripped. Leading the conditioning charge is rice ferment filtrate – an impressive ingredient that lends the blend its abundance of enzymes and amino acids to nourish your skin as it gently clears impurities. It’s also infused with green tea (an industry-adored antioxidant) to encourage calm, youthful-looking skin, plus liquorice root extract to promote a more even, luminous tone—get ready to glow! As for its blemish-busting capabilities, it’s laced with gluconolactone (a naturally occurring poly hydroxy acid that exfoliates without sensitising the skin) and anti-inflammatory tea tree to clear your pores and prevent pesky breakouts.

As there are differences between US and European labelling requirements, you may notice a slight variation amongst ingredient listings on differing sites. Limonene, for example is a compound found in Grapefruit Oil, and the UK requests it to be listed out separately. Then I Met You can assure you that all products boast the same formulations you know and love.

For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.

For the second step of your double cleanse after rinsing off the Living Cleansing Balm, lather a pea-sized amount using water and wet hands. Then massage into your skin to remove water-based impurities. Rinse thoroughly and gently pat dry.

Transparency lies at the heart of our philosophy which is why we have partnered with tech-platform – Provenance – to cut through the industry “noise” and equip you with key facts that matter. A ‘proof point’ with a green tick means a third party has verified the accuracy of the statement whereas no green tick means that there isn’t independent confirmation (yet!), but that the brand has still supplied substantiating evidence (which you can view yourself).
