BYREDO Bibliotheque Candle – 240g

A firm part of the décor in any respectable fragrance-ophile’s collection, you’d be forgiven for thinking that BYREDO’s iconic perfumes have been around for decades. In reality, the evocative brand was founded in 2006, and has already captured the hearts (and noses) of beauty gourmands around the world. Cherished bottles that capture memories, feelings and emotions, each of BYREDO’s meaningful olfactory offerings are so much more than just a fragrance; in the case of the Bibliothèque Candle, it has the power to transport you to the contemplative aura of a cool library, punctuated with mahogany shelves that are bursting with old tomes.

Like a shelter from the outside world and the passage of time, BYREDO’s Bibliothèque Candle — now available in a larger-than-life 240g size — evokes the atmosphere of a library, still in its silence, yet warming and welcoming.

Housed in the brand’s instantly recognisable (and incredibly lust-have) chic and simple – yet quintessentially luxe – monochrome design, each of BYREDO’s candles make the perfect finishing touch to any mantelpiece, coffee table and bedside cabinet. The thoughtful scent has juicy top notes of peach and plum that burst with subtle sweetness before the scent transforms with floral heart notes of peony and violet. Enough to induce an atmosphere of studious calm, the alluring base plays with chords of leather, patchouli and vanilla that speak of crisp parchment and the comforting smell of a cool library.
